VIDEO: Bok kicks off his referee career
NEWS: Former Springbok scrumhalf Rudy Paige has officially started his career as a match official at the weekend.
The 13 Test cap Springbok took up the role of assistant referee during the friendly match between the University of Cape Town (UCT) and Boland at the Green Mile in Cape Town.
Paige assisted referee AJ Jacobs during the match.
The former Bulls player follows in the footsteps of Springbok women back Aimee Barrett-Theron and former Stormers wing Egon Seconds in becoming a referee after retirement.

In the wake of the match, Paige was praised for his achievement via social media.
