Azzurri scrumhalf announces retirement

NEWS: Treviso scrumhalf Callum Braley announced his retirement from the international game to focus more on his family and his career with Northampton, with whom he links up in the off-season.

“It was a very tough decision to take,” the England-born 28-year-old said in a statement on the Italian federation website.

“Long periods of time spent far from my family began to weigh on me.”

Braley was capped 15 times by Italy and previously played for Gloucester before signing with Treviso.
