Belleau, 24, underwent the procedure in Lyon, having sustained the injury in the Top 14 season opener against La Rochelle earlier this month.

He made his international debut for les Bleus against New Zealand in November 2017 and has gone on to amass 12 caps.

Belleau is set to miss France’s upcoming Test campaign as well as next year’s Six Nations.
