The 32-year-old was hurt in a collision with Toulouse lock Rory Arnold in a European Champions Cup quarterfinal on Sunday and went off after four minutes. Clermont lost the match 12-21.

Clermont are fourth in the Top 14 and face Brive at the weekend. They said Lopez, who has 28 caps for France, would not need surgery.
