Munster finally address Marx's rumours

NEWS: Munster have finally opened up the transfer rumours surrounding Springbok star Malcolm Marx.

According various media reports the Irish Province has tabled a mega-money deal to persuade the Springbok hooker to move from Japan to Ireland.

However, the speculations were finally laid to rest by Munster assistant coach Denis Leamy.

Fronting the media, Leamy said Marx’s transfer is not happening.

“I’d like to work with Malcolm Marx, but there’s nothing in it,” Leamy said when asked about the reports.

“There’s nothing there for us.

“So no, that’s not something that’s happening, to be as clear about that as I can.”

He added: “Obviously we look in different areas of the market but that’s not a conversation that’s ongoing.”

Marx is currently plying his trade in Japan with the Kubota Spears.

The 28-year-old has previously linked to French Top 14 giants Clermont but their recent signing of Wallabies Folau Fainga’a suggests that they’ve now filled the position.
