In a week in which they also released some intriguing training statistics, the Sharks revealed that they have locked in dynamic loose forward Henco Venter, robust prop Ntuthuko Mchunu, speedy scrumhalf Jaden Hendrikse and powerhouse forward Dylan Richardson.

They also revealed the times from this week’s Bronco fitness tests.

Midfielder Jeremy Ward won the Bronco test – an aerobic endurance speed test.

It’s a shuttle run for total time in which players run to markers at 20 metres, 40 metres and 60 metres out, perform shuttles there and back to each distance. They must do five sets of those.

Ward clocked a time of four minutes 14 seconds for the quickest overall times.

He was followed by fellow backs Lucky Dlepu (4:28), Curwin Bosch (4:28), Caleb Dingaan (4:33) and Werner Kok (4:35).
