Douglas, 32, joined the Top 14 outfit in 2018, two years after making the last of his 31 Wallabies appearances.

“It’s the best thing for my family to stay put. I think me and the club want the same thing,” he told AFP last week.

“The club want me to stay, I want to stay.”

Top 14 leaders Bordeaux-Begles host Leicester Tigers, the side in the No. 1 spot in the English Premiership, in the opening round of the European Champions Cup this Saturday.
