The versatile backline player has amassed 56 Test caps to date and despite heading to France, remains eligible for Springbok selection as he dreams of representing the country at the 2019 World Cup.

"I will certainly love to play for the Springboks again. That is a dream of mine that hasn't died. I am eligible and hoping that coming overseas, I'm going to learn new things and add a few more tricks to the bag and play some good rugby that will catch Rassie's eye.

"Hopefully he sees me contributing in some way to the Springbok cause over the next year or so. It's obviously still a dream of mine to go to the World Cup in Japan.

"Moving here, getting some rugby under my belt was the first goal and now that it's happening, at the back of my mind the Springboks are always going to be there," Lambie said.
