Conditioning with a Welsh Springbok

EXCLUSIVE: Self-confessed Jesse Kriel look alike Aled Walters, the Springboks’ Head of Athletic Performance, brings his Welsh charm and shares some funny stories about his time at Munster and the Springboks.

The 37-year-old reveals why and how he joined Rassie Erasmus in leaving Munster to form part of the Springboks’ management team. He follows that up by sharing his thoughts on what impact travelling has on the players after experiencing a flight to the United States and back to South Africa for the June Internationals.

Walters has an interesting way of looking at how many games an international player should play during the year before the Late Tackle team questions him about player management based on his experience from being involved with Munster, Taranaki and the Brumbies during his career.
