It is a rivalry that has been going on for the best part of a century – the battle for the No.1 ranking of the world.

While, occasionally, one of them would drop out of the top two or even top three rankings, South Africa and New Zealand have always been rated the game's top-ranked teams and their duels have ben stuff of legends.

They are currently also the two top-ranked teams in the world and among the favourites for next year's World Cup.
