Bet.co.za betting challenge - Round 5
After skipping last week’s Bet.co.za Super Rugby betting update, rugby365s Howie Kahn is back with a fresh amount in his betting balance.
Well, first things first – congrats to TheBounce for his last-gasp victory in Round One of the 2012 Super Rugby Bet.co.za (www.bet.co.za) betting challenge.
Bounce went ‘all in’ on the Sharks beating the Reds to grab the win after four weeks (read about that HERE) – and he walked off with a cool cash prize of R1,000 and an overall tally of R1847.93, followed by me on R900, SportBilly (@sportbillysays) on R15.13 and Sports Illustrated’s Schalk Jonker (-R422.5) and Gareth Rosslee (-R945) who went into negative.
TheBounce (@followthebounce), after his win, has bowed out – leaving four of us to take each other on over the next few weeks, with a new tally of R1,000 in our betting coffers.
My bets for this weekend, Round Five of the 2012 Super Rugby:
March 23
Blues v Hurricanes (Auckland)
R35 on ‘Canes to win by 6-10 points, with R10 on TJ Perenera try – stand to win R402.50.
Rebels v Force (Melbourne)
R25 on Rebels to win by 1-5 points – stand to win R100.
March 24
Waratahs v Sharks (Sydney)
Waratahs to win by 1-5 points – R20 can win me R70.
Crusaders v Cheetahs (Christchurch)
R25 on Crusaders winning by 11-15 points and R15 on Robbie Fruean to score the first try. Stand to won R213.75.
Brumbies v Highlanders (Canberra)
R20 on Highlanders to win by 6-10 points. Stand to win R100.
Bulls v Reds (Pretoria)
Bulls by 11-15 points – R20 down to win R100.
Lions v Stormers (Johannesburg)
R25 on Stormers to win by 11-15 points. Stand to win R125.
Cheers,
Howie Kahn
* If you feel like wasting some hard-earned cash, you can bet on me against the likes of SportBilly and the terrible twins from Sports Illustrated, Gareth Rosslee (@GarethRosslee) and Schalk Jonker (@SI_Schalk).
