After their 47-14 victory over the Free State Cheetahs in Johannesburg, the Lions have eight players in our XV this week.

The next best-represented team is the Blue Bulls with three players, while Griquas and the Free State Cheetahs have one player each in our selection.

In the backline, we have Sylvian Mahuza at fullback with Jade Stighling and Duncan Matthews on the wings. In the midfield Lionel Mapoe is at outside centre with Andre Swarts gets the No.12 spot.

Shaun Reynolds is our flyhalf this week with Christiaan Meyer getting the nod for scrumhalf.

In the pack Hacjivah Dayimani is at No.8 with James Venter and Jano Venter on the flanks.

Marvin Orie and Rhyno Herbst are our locks this week, while the front row consists of Jacobie Adriaanse, Reinach Venter and Juan Schoeman.
