The Golden Lions went to Bloemfontein to snatch a narrow 24-22 victory over the Free State Cheetahs, who were the log leaders heading into the round.

In Nelspruit, the Pumas got their first win of the tournament when they edged the defending champions Sharks 27-20.

And in Pretoria, Griquas smashed the Blue Bulls 37-15 to climb to the top of the standings.

This week, the Lions and Pumas lead the way with four players each in our Team of the Week. Griquas are close behind with three players.
