Greyling looks unstoppable

Johan Greyling looks unstoppable as he march towards his maiden win in our ‘readers versus staff’ prediction game, taking a 12-point lead into the last three weeks.

In what was generally a very good weekend for the ‘pundits’, Greyling collected seven valuable points – with his nearest rival Steve Farrell just getting five.

The big movers for the weekend were Phil Coetzer (seven points), now joint second with Farrell, Rudolf Mehl (eight points), up to joint fourth, and top scorer for the week Hennie van Staden (nine points), who saw him move well clear from the bottom.

Van Staden and Coetzer both got the results of all six games right, but Van Staden was better in getting close to the margins – earning him three valuable bonus points.

He has now also consigned Jan de Koning to a distant last place …seven points down and three weeks in which to save some face.
