My RWC dream comes true...
In his second rugby365.com diary, an excited USA Eagles loose forward JJ Gagiano celebrates his Rugby World Cup selection with us!
So, we’re back from Japan where, unfortunately, we lost 20-14 to our hosts in Tokyo.
It was a very free-flowing and fast game played in very wet conditions. The World Cup squad was announced the Sunday after the Japanese game, I am proud to say that I have been selected; it is an amazing honor and really excited and looking forward to the experience.
We have been given a week off before we assemble in Santa Barbara ahead of our departure for New Zealand. Myself, Tim ‘Russian’ Usasz and Chris ‘Shrek’ Wyles have been staying with fitness training Davey Williams in Denver. This week has been great to recharge the batteries.
We have been working out in the morning: a combination of gym and fitness, and in the afternoon we have been playing golf or been doing some skills training.
We managed to see a Colorado Rockies game, which is the baseball side here in Denver. It was my first game and what an experience!
On Saturday we are off to watch a Denver Broncos game, my first NFL experience, which I am looking greatly forward to.
The World Cup is just around the corner now… to say I am excited would be an understatement of mass proportions.
Thanks for the support so far!

JJ
