SUPER RUGBY SPOTLIGHT: Here it is, the results of the Readers’ selections for the South African Team of the Week for Round 18.

The Bulls dominated the voting, with flyhalf Handre Pollard the most popular – garnering 94 percent of the votes cast for the No.10 position.

He was followed by lock Rudolph Snyman (Bulls – 88 percent), loose forward Marco van Staden (Bulls – 82 percent), No.8 Duane Vermeulen (Bulls – 68 percent) and centre Burger Odendaal (Bulls – 63 percent).

On the opposite end of the spectrum were the Stormers, who garnered very few votes.

Flyhalf Josh Stander did not get a single vote, lock Chris van Zyl got one vote, while loose forward Ernst van Rhyn and centre JJ Engelbrecht got just two votes each.

Players who came off the bench and impressed the readers include Wiehan Herbst (two votes), Ivan van Zyl (two votes), Manie Libbok, Cameron Wright, Divan Rossouw and Rhyno Smith (all one vote).

Players in other competitions who impressed the readers include Cheslin Kolbe (five votes), Ryno Elstadt (two votes), Vaughan Isaacs, Wiehan Herbst and Ivan van Zyl.
