S14 Round Seven Predictions

It is that time of the week again, when we venture out into the dangerous arena of Super 14 predictions. After last week’s mixed results by our resident ‘experts’, we are hoping for a big weekend!

Johan Greyling and John Granger still hold a comfortable lead over the chasing pack, and the halfway stage of the competition nobody can afford any shockers. They may well run out of time to catch the leaders.

Greyling is still the leader in our ‘readers versus staff prediction game’ with 46 points, followed closely by Granger (44).

However, while just two points separates the two top boys, the rest are looking to close the six-point gap – with Rudolf Mehl (now on 38 points), Phil Coetzer, Rob Peters (both 37) and Steve Farrell (36) waiting to pounce on any errors by the leaders.

Closing the gap will remain a challenge as for the next five weeks two teams will have a bye – meaning there are only six games to score in!
