Boland choose for Weeks
None back in Craven Week side
Boland have chosen their teams for the Craven Week, the Academy Week and the Grant Khomo Week for Under-16s.
There is nobody back in the Craven Week side this year. The only player eligible was Wouter Bishop but he is in the Academy side this year. In fact very few were in last year's Boland sides. From the Academy side four have made the Craven Week side – lock Divan Koch, Hooker Pieter Brynard, loosehead Heinrich Gonzales, and Martin Coetzee,. Two have come up from the Under-16 side – centre Ashwill Rentz and loose forward Rynhardt Elstadt.
When the Craven Week side played against Western Province in a trial on Wednesday, Western Province won by an intercept try. The manager of the Boland team, Brian Oosthuizen, says that the Boland side this year has lots of guts. Tackling is their strong point.
The side is young than last year's.
There are two sides for the Grant Khomo Week because Namibia are coming and Zimbabwe not, leaving an odd number of teams. The Boland XV is the "second" team.
