Another prominent SA coach heads to Paarl
NEWS: Former Bulls attack coach Chris Rossouw has taken up a new role with one of the country’s leading rugby schools.
Rossouw has been appointed as Technical Advisor and High Performance coach of Paarl Gimnasium, the school confirmed in a statement on Friday.
He will directly report to Head of Rugby Dawie Theron and work in tandem with the school’s rugby management and coaching team.
“Chris brings an outstanding combination of experience, knowledge and a deep commitment to Paarl Gimnasium in this role,” a social media statement read.
“As an experienced coach with broad knowledge of modern rugby and high performance entitlements, he will play an important role in the development of the school’s rugby structures, coaching and players.

“In his role as Technical Advisor and High Performance coach, he will directly report to Head of Rugby Dawie Theron and work alongside the school’s rugby management and coaching teams.
“Furthermore, his main focus will be on the further development of our coaching approach, the establishment and overseeing of high technical standards, player development and the creation of an environment where young players get the opportunity to reach their full potential.”
Rossouw previously worked under Pote Human and Jake White as backline and attack coach at the Bulls before finishing his tenure with the union in December 2025 during the Johann Ackermann era.
