Craven Week, Academy Week Start in Bloem
The most prestigious week of South African rugby’s seven Youth Weeks kicks off at Grey College in Bloemfontein on Monday 1 July 2019 – the Under-18 Craven Week – the 56th such week in an unbroken run since 1964.
Parallel to the Craven Week and also at Grey College is the Under-18 Academy Week.
There will be five exciting days of schoolboy rugby. The playing days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, the final day, ending when the two teams rated best at Craven Week meet in the most prestigious fixture of all – the final match of Craven Week, as has happened since 1971.
On Monday, 1 July, there will be 11 matches on two fields – four Craven Week matches and seven Academy Week matches. The Craven Week matches will be broadcast live on SuperSport channel 201.
