EP picks School teams

The Eastern Province Schools selectors have chose five teams to represent Eastern Province at the 2015 Craven Week, Academy Week and Grant Khomo Week.

For the Craven Week and the Academy Week there are two teams each – Eastern Province and Eastern Province Country.

Grey High lock Michael de Marco and St Andrew's flyhalf Anthony Dakin will captain the Eastern Province Craven Week and Eastern Province Country teams at the Craven Week  in Stellenbosch.

The Eastern Province selectors also announced the teams to compete in the Academy Week in Vanderbijlpark and the Grant Khomo Week in Oudtshoorn, also in July.

Craven Week: 13-18 July 2015 at Paul Roos in Stellenbosch

Academy Week: 6-9 July 2014 at Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark

Grant Khomo Week: 6-9 July in Oudtshoorn

The Eastern Province Craven Week side is chosen from the while of the Eastern Province, coastal and inland. The coastal/urban area is from Uitenhage down to Humansdorp. The rest qualifies for the Country District sides. The Country District sides are chosen from the non-coastal regions only. There are just three players in the Eastern Province Craven Week side who could qualify for the Country Districts tide – two from Marlow and one from St Andrew's.

In this year's Craven Week side there are three players who were at Craven Week in 2014 – flyhalf Curwin Bosch, who played for South African Schools last year, and centre Heino Bezuidenhout and centre Josiah Twum-Boafo who went to Craven Week in the Country Districts side last year. There are also six players from last years Academy side who will go to Craven Week this year – Duan du Plessis, Michael de Marco, Kamva Dilima, Pieter van Taak, André Lategan and Malan Marais. Ruben le Roux went to last year's Grant Khomo side.
