Griquas choose for Craven Week
Griquas have chosen their team for the Under-18 Craven Week in Welkom in June-July.
There are no fewer than 10 players from Noord-Kaap of Kimberley.
One of them, Herman van Niekerk, will captain the side.
Van Niekerk, a flank, was at last year’s Craven week along with five others who were in last year’s side – locks Herman Groenewald and Francis Rooifontein, hooker Nico van der Westhuizen and backs Dean Gorrah and Thapelo Thupe.
The team will have four warm-up matches – against Griqualand West Country (the old North Western Cape) on 29 May, Griffons (5 June), Eastern Province Country (the old North Eastern Districts) on 11 June and Border on 12 June.
