SA Schools teams selected

Powerful Waterkloof, Monnas contingents

At the end of the 2006 Craven Week which ended in Johannesburg on Saturday two representative schools teams were announced – a South African Schools team and a South African Schools A team.

Unfortunately, Johan van Deventer of the Golden Lions tore ankle ligaments on the first day and was not considered. He would surely have been the first player chosen and the most likely captain.

Quotas apply to these two teams. A glance at the four scrumhalves chosen will underscore this.

SA Schools will play Italy Under-18 in Bloemfontein on 22 July and SA Schools A will play Italy Under-18 in Witbank on 28 July.
