Aussie Schools leave on Tour

The Australian Schools side left Sydney for New Zealand on Tuesday for a three-match tour. All matches will be played in Wellington.

The team will play two matches against New Zealand sides and one against Fijian Schools. Two of the matches will be 'Tests', against New Zealand Schools and Fiji Schools.

The Australian team, chosen largely from church and other private schools, comes largely from New South Wales and Queensland and has done well against New Zealand Schools in the past though in their last meeting New Zealand Schools won 14-13.

The team has been preparing in Sydney.

On Friday 26 September 2014 at 17.00, Australian Schools play Fiji Schools at Levin Domain, then the four teams – Australian Schools, Fiji Schools, New Zealand Schools and New Zealand Barbarians Schools – play in two doubleheaders at Porirua Park, a multi-purpose sporting facility in the north of Wellington.
