Bellville Lions on the charge again

Hoërskool Bellville continued on their winning ways, beating Stellenberg 17-7 on Saturday.
Stellenberg came to the lions' den as hot favourites for their match against Bellville High. The game was played in almost perfect conditions. The teams felt each other out for the first half and the only difference between the two sides was a penalty goal midway through the half by flyhalf Deon Thiart to put the home side in front 3-0 at the break.
BR>After the break Bellville High threw everything into attack and were rewarded with a brilliant try by outside centre Elrico Blaauw which was converted by flyhalf Deon Thiart. By now Bellville were firmly in control of the game and leading 10-0.
Bellville set up phase after phase before scoring their second try this time by the left wing Justin McKay .Try was converted by fly half Deon Thiart. Bellville were on top 17-0.
A few opportunities went begging for Bellville who were unfortunate not to score more tries.
Stellenberg's only points came in the dying minutes of the game when outside centre Jonathan Phillips crossed the line for his try which was converted by fly half Dirk Swart.
Bellville won 17-7, their fifth victory in a row.
Players worth mentioning are Ryan Olivier lock who played one of his best games in a Bellville jersey, a prospect for the future, No.8 Daniel Loubser and hooker Abu Francis.
Bellville lions roar once again.
