Bergrivier claim Wellington clash
A Deswill Barends penalty proved to be the difference between the sides in a highly entertaining match that saw seven tries in total being scored.
Weltevrede fullback JP Heugh scored all of his side's first half points when he grabbed a try and slotted a penalty while a Mason Petersen (wing) try and Deswill Barends penalty helped the visitors head into the half-time interval level-pegging at 8-8.
The game opened up in the second-half with five tries being scored between the sides.
Weltevrede outside centre managed two tries of his own to help his team reach the 20 point mark, however his brace was not enough to help his team clinch a hat-trick of victories over their rivals.
Bergrivier crossed the try line on three occasions through Lowellyn Lakay (lock), Ashwin Franse (No.8) and Curtley Swanepoel (outside centre). Swanepoel's try proved to be crucial as it helped his side end their losing streak.
