Border have Champion Girls
In the main match on the last day, 8 July 2016, the Border girls beat Western Province at Hoërskool Noord-Kaap in Kimberley. This follows the success of the Border Under-16 girls at the Under-16 tournament in Welkom, In that final match they also beat Western Province, the score then 15-7.
Two other sides who went into the final day unbeaten, Zimbabwe and Mpumalanga's Pumas both lost at the last hurdle – Zimbabwe to Eastern Province and Pumas to South Western Districts.
Eastern Province had previously lost two matches but to Western Province and Border while South Western Districts had lost to Zimbabwe after they had a close victory over the Golden Lions.
Free State, Leopards and Griquas also won two of their matches.
The team that suffered the heaviest defeats were the Valke who failed to score a single point while conceding 149.
