Bosch host Boishaai
Rondebosch, in common with other Peninsula schools, find the battles against the "country" schools tough indeed. This one is especially tough as Paarl Boys' High, in their third successive season unbeaten in South Africa, are ranked No.1 on the Schools Top 20 after their demolition of the great Grey College in Bloemfontein last week.
Paarl went on tour to New Zealand, playing five matches in eight days and losing just the last – 38-36 against Christchurch Boys' High. Since then they have played eight matches in South Africa, winning them all. Their victories include those over Affies, Selborne, Glenwood and Grey Bloem.
Rondebosch have had a less demanding list of fixtures and have lost three out of eight, beaten by KES, Hugenote of Wellington and Paarl Gim.
The only opponents common to both schools are Wynberg. Rondebosch beat them 34-13; Boys' High beat them 67-25.
It is a tough task for Rondebosch but not the sort of situation they would shy away from. They are also a proud school with a great rugby tradition.
The match will, of course, be worth watching and will be streamed live.
