Bulle beat Kwaggas - just
It was a wonderful match – adventurous, courageous and filled with skill and enthusiasm. There was nothing separating the two sides at half-time and little separating them at the end, just one try out of 11.
There were three excellent tries – two by Darren Fortuin of Outeniqua and, the best if all, one by Clyde Lewis, the Oakdale fullback/.
After a line-out, Lewis was passed the ball just inside the middle of the half-way line with a large group of players of both sides in front of him. He stepped, swerved, changed pace and beat five opponents on a 51-metre run to score the try that made the score 39-30.
A time line gives an idea of how the match went. In the scores the first (left side of the hyphen) is Oakdale's score, the home side.
