Captain: Michael-Angelo Damons

After being beaten by George last year Pacaltsdorp captain Michael-Angelo Damons is determined to set the record straight this weekend.

Pacaltsdorp will be hosting their rivals in the FNB Classic Clash on Saturday, and Damons is keen to make that advantage count on Saturday.

The mobile hooker who has also played on the flank this season sees himself as his team's fourth loose forward and models his game on Springbok star Bismarck du Plessis.

He leads a team with nine Matrics, so there is a good understanding amongst the players which they intend to make the most of against George.

"We have started playing better in the last few weeks because we are communicating well and supporting each other so hopefully we can do that on Saturday," he said.

This promising recent form has given Pacaltsdorp plenty of confidence, although their captain knows they will have to work hard if they are to reverse last year's result.

"We will have to keep it tight and disciplined and also show some guts. It will be up to the forwards to show the way," he said.

Damons plans to join the army next year where he will be able to continue playing rugby but for now he is focused on delivering the goods for his school this weekend.

"It is a bit sad that this will be one of my last games with all my friends here but hopefully we can make it a good one," he said.
