Captain's profile: Arne Bognich
Hoërskool Florida have had a strong season so far and captain Arne Bognich hopes they can continue this in their FNB Classic Clash with Marais Vlijoen on Saturday.
Florida have had some impressive results this season and Bognich and his men are not looking to slip up when they head away from home this weekend.
"We are very much looking forward to the game this weekend and we have been practicing really hard for this game.
"There are a few new players in the squad but they have adapted well to the team and we are excited for the match," Bognich said.
Playing rugby from a young age has been a benefit for the No.8 who remembers how his rugby started.
"I remember when I started playing rugby at five-years-old in Bulletjie rugby.
"In my junior years I was a prop but when I got bigger I moved to No.8," he added.
Bognich made the move down from Polokwane to Florida and it seems to have been the best decision for him and for his rugby.
"I moved from Tom Naude to Florida and this is my first year with the 1st team.
"There are more opportunities here for rugby players than up there," the captain mentioned.
Having never played against Marais VIljoen before, Bognich has had to go on what his fellow team-mates have told him about them.
"I have heard that they are a hard side to play but I am very confident in my side.
"We have done well this season after it took us a while to adapt but now we are playing much better and are playing as a unit," he explained.
