Captain's profile: Brandon de Melim
De Melim played in the 2014 Craven Week and has also been part of his school's first team since 2013.
"The highlights of my rugby career has been the 2014 Craven Week as well as being selected to captain Noord-Kaap," said De Melim.
"It is a great privilege and also a big responsibility to be captain. I lead by example and I have a good connection and relationship with my teammates and coaches."
De Melim says his team have had a satisfactory season so far.
"I think we had a great season so with only two losses against big name opponents,” he said.
With his experience De Melim knows what to expect from their rivals on Saturday.
"Diamantveld are always a quality side and with them being our main rivals, it makes it so much more emotional and tough.
"We have a pretty experienced and talented team with no serious injuries and just a few niggles.
"My message to the team this week was that they should train hard and show up on Saturday with guts," he added.
The big No.8 is planning on studying at North West University (Pukke) and if it works out he would like to play rugby for them as well.
