Captain's profile: Francois Maartens
Punt have endured an up and down season but will draw strength from their 2014 victory over their rivals.
"The team playing on Saturday is similar to what it has been all season with no big changes and we are very grateful to have no injuries. We have some good balance between experienced and young players.
"The season has had its ups and downs but overall, we had a good season and it feels like all our structures are in place now. I am expecting us to go on the field with a great attitude, play the game to the best of our abilities and show everybody what we are capable of.
"We have a slight edge over them because we won the match in 2014 but we know anything can happen because they beat us in 2013," he said.
The 18-year-old scrumhalf plays each game to his full potential and understands his strengths.
"The thing that makes me a strong player and captain is the fact that I always try my best at everything and never stop till I am satisfied while I know where my strength comes from, and my strength comes from God.
"For me being the captain of this great team is a big honour, although it comes with a lot of responsibilities because you know that you must make the decisions and have to be at your best the whole time," he added.
Maartens' plans for the future include studying BSc Physiotherapy at the University of the Free State and is hopeful of breaking into the Shimlas team to play in the Varsity Cup.
