Captain's profile: Fyzel Isaacs
Hexvallei captain Fyzel Isaacs is expecting nothing less than 100% effort from both sides when his team faces De Kruine in their first-ever FNB Classic Clash.
The outside centre who plans to study at UWC next year has had success as captain this year, leading his team to victory in the De Jagers Cup competition, and he intends to keep winning when his side travel to Touws River this weekend.
"It has been a great season, we have worked hard together and that is why we were invited to the De Jagers Cup," he said.
Isaacs says that his strengths as a captain are his ability to stay focused and motivated, and considers the chance to lead the first team an honour.
He is in charge of a young team and with four years in the first team under his belt provides vital experience, especially ahead of what is sure to be a big occasion on Saturday.
"We are not going to be overconfident, we are expecting 100% effort from them.
"My message to the team this week has been to hold on, have faith, stay strong and keep believing," he said.
Having played in the first team for so long, the lanky centre knows exactly what to expect from their rivals who are sure to put up a stern effort in front of their home crowd.
