Captain's profile: Janco Cloete
The talented flank is in his second year in the first team and besides representing Griquas at the Grant Khomo Week in 2013, the Academy Week in 2014 and the Craven Week this year, it is his experience at his school that stands out the most for him.
"The highlight of my career was being chosen as captain of Diamantveld's first team," said Cloete. "It's a great privilege, but also a great responsibility.
"As a captain I lead by example and not by words. I always give my best and I take my team's interests at heart as well."
Cloete knows it will be a tough game, but at the same time he would like his team to build on last year's 24-12 win, which was their first since 2007.
"It's always a big clash. There is a good competition and fun vibe when we meet.
"It's always a hard and close game. We expect nothing else than another hard and physical game.
"We should just play for each other just as we have done throughout the season. I just want my team to give their best," he added.
The 18-year-old believes the tough season they had so far has set them up well for Saturday's clash.
"The whole team has played big games during the season and have gained the necessary experience. We are pretty much at full strength and worked hard throughout the season," said Cloete.
Cloete has plans to study and continue his promising rugby career after school.
