Captain's profile: Jarryd Lurie
The Classic Clash encounter takes place on Saturday at Rondebosch Boys in what is expected to be a tough, physical battle.
"I'm expecting them [Rondebosch] to be extremely direct and physical. They're going to bring a high-tempo game and try to match us with our style of rugby. The only difference is that they'll kick a lot more than us, especially box kicks, which we have seen them use effectively in the past. Another strong aspect of their game is their mauling, they have a very good mall that will challenge our forwards.
"We have beaten them twice last year and once at the begriming of this year, so we will be looking to making it four in a row," Lurie said.
The 18-year-old flank will lead a fairly experienced team that will possibly be missing two key players to end their season on a positive note, following a mixed bag of results throughout the year.
"The team is quite experienced in terms of having first team experience but we are not at full strength, as we are missing our inside centre, Cornel Smit, and possibly our loose head prop due to sickness.
"However, everyone who will be playing in their respective positions on Saturday, is more than fit and ready for the occasion.
"We've had some ups and downs and we do have some regrets and even though it's not ideal to say that we have regrets, the fact is that we do. We have played a couple of games this year that we should have won but let ourselves down, especially due to discipline and allowing the occasion to get the better of us.
"However, the team spirit and everyone's respect for each other in the team has been something to look back happily upon," he added.
With so much on the line, the Grade 12 pupil has one message for his team.
"We need to keep cool, calm and collected. The focus needs to be on the game all week and we need to be confident in everything we do. Lastly, belief is everything, so we need to believe that we will win," he stated.
Lurie is still unsure as to where he will find himself in the near future but stated he would probably be going to the University of Cape Town, where he will continue playing the game. However, he has not ruled out the possibility of heading to Canada to play some rugby at a University in Vancouver.
