Captain's profile: Jean-Marc Fuchs
Fuchs, who is 18 and in Grade 12, plays blindside flank and already has plenty of experience on the rugby field.
"I have been playing in the first team for two years," said Fuchs.
"Earlier this year I was chosen for the Mutual and Federal XV at the Oakdale rugby tournament. In Grade 10 I was also captain of the SA Buffalo team that took part in an international tournament in Rivogo, Italy. We ended third out of 16 teams."
Tygerberg have been the dominant school in the Cape's Northern Suburbs for a long time, however, Fuchs believes they can change that on Saturday in the big Classic Clash.
"Brackenfell have not won interschools for the past six years. Last year we had a draw and we believe this year is our year.
"I am expecting them (Tygerberg) to come at us with a full strength team and I am expecting a good, hard match.
"My message to the team this week was that to overcome mountains, you must first overcome the pebble in your shoe. We have already overcome the pebbles this season and this weekend it is time to overcome the mountain," he added.
Fuchs is also relishing the opportunity to captain his side in such a big clash.
"It is a great honour, but also a huge responsibility. I believe I lead by example and not by words. My strength as player is carrying the ball," he said.
Fuchs plans to study for a Bachelor of Commerce degree at North West University in Potchefstroom and to continue playing rugby.
