Captain's profile: Khanyiso Pini
Itembelihle captain Khanyiso Pini is hoping to inspire his team to their eighth consecutive victory over Ndzondelelo in their FNB Classic Clash this weekend.
The hard-working centre scored a try in the same fixture last year, and he is hoping to put that experience to good use when he leads his team out on Saturday.
Although he will be pulling the strings in midfield, Pini believes that his forward pack holds the key this weekend if they are to secure another victory over Ndzondelelo.
"Our forwards are our strength and we use them to create forward momentum and space for us to run from," he explained.
However, Pini knows that the Ndzondelelo pack will be no pushovers, and he is anticipating a fierce battle up front.
Itembelihle have had some mixed results this season, with a few tough fixtures, but Pini and his side have learned a lot from all of their matches.
"The high point has been our tour to Durban earlier this year to take part in the Glenwood festival and the low point was when Brandwag high school gave us a big hiding," he said.
Pini intends to go to university next year, and plans to continue playing rugby for as long as he can, but for now his focus is on the Classic Clash this weekend.
