Captain's profile: Michael Hutton

Weston skipper Michael Hutton will have revenge on his mind when his team travels to Treverton for their FNB Classic Clash this weekend.

The versatile loose forward was part of the Weston team that was beaten by Treverton in front of their home crowd last year, and he has not forgotten the pain of going down to their local rivals.

"We will be very motivated after losing at home last year, Treverton dominated most aspects of the game but it was still quite close in the end. We are going there to win our trophy back," he said.

Hutton played lock for the first side last year, but he is in his preferred position of No.8 this year and determined to lead from the front against a dangerous Treverton side.

Weston have had a good start to the season, winning five out of their six games so far, and Hutton is hoping that they can take that momentum into the derby on Saturday.

"Playing Treverton is always a challenge but we have started quite well this year so although it will be hard work we are feeling confident," he explained.

Hutton admitted that with both schools out in full force the pressure will truly be on his team to deliver, but it is a challenge that they are looking forward to.

"It is a huge rivalry and everyone from both schools will be there so it should be a great occasion," he said.
