Captain's profile: Shane Farmer
The 18-year-old hooker has already signed a contract with the Western Province Rugby Union after impressing in the 2014 and 2015 Craven Week sides. He also represented the province in the 2013 Grant Khomo week as well.
"The highlight of my career so far was playing in the 2015 Craven Week final and beating Eastern Province 95-0," said Farmer.
"It was a great experience to measure myself against the best in the country."
Farmer knows all the responsibilities that comes with being captain of such a proud rugby school.
"It is great honour and privilege to captain a school with such a legendary rugby history. My philosophy as captain is to be humble and play to honour my Creator.
"My strengths as a player and captain is that I can stay cool and level headed if under pressure," he added.
Despite having a few injuries, Farmer still expects to beat Brackenfell after last year's fixture ended in a draw.
"We are missing a couple of key players due to injury, but we are still a team full of experience and we are confident that we will succeed. We are expecting a passionate from Brackenfell as well.
"My message to the team this week was that they should stay calm and level headed and our hard work will pay off.
Farmer has plans to further his rugby career in the Cape when he is done with school.
