Captain's profile: Siyamthanda Mgubo
Dale emerged victorious 29-19 on Queen's Reunion Day, and they will be looking to make it a double in the return fixture in King William's Town on Saturday which is also an FNB Classic Clash.
The bustling inside centre has played both Grant Khomo Week and Craven Week for Border which he says are experiences he will never forget.
"It was amazing; you get to be involved in different styles of rugby and get to face tough opposition. You make new friends and get to travel to the different parts of South Africa," he said.
However, his focus is firmly on making sure that his team bounces back from their defeat to Hudson Park last week with a strong performance against their old rivals.
"It has always been a huge clash between these two teams and you can never say which team is better, but the team that wants it the most on the day always wins.
"They always put up a challenge against us and since we beat them earlier this season, I’m expecting a big one," he said.
The midfielder tries to set a good example on the field by doing his job as well as possible.
"It’s a huge honour and responsibility to be captain, there have many great leaders before me and I am privileged to be one of them at a great rugby school like Dale College.
"I have got a good defensive and passing game, I am well respected in my team and as a captain I believe in doing stuff myself, rather than just talking," he said.
Although his team have not maintained the high standards they set for themselves early in the season, they will be highly motivated in what will be the last home game for the matrics in the team.
"The season started on a high note but after our loss on our Reunion, everything just seemed to go the other way.
"I have told the team to work hard during the week and leave nothing on that field, as it is the very last game on “The Graveyard” for some of us," he said.
