CC: Durban neighbours meet
Leave Durban on the N3 as if you were heading for Pietermaritzburg. There is Westville. Go further and there is Botha's Hill. Westville and Botha's Hill are neighbours which makes the rivalry between Westville Boys' High and Kearsney College all the keener. This Saturday they meet in an FNB Classic Clash.
They are physically close and in playing achievements this year they are similar. On the FNB Top 20 Kearsney are 15th, Westville 16th. Kearsney have just got up to 15th after their big win over Maritzburg College last Saturday, also in an FNB Classic Clashes.
Kearsney, who host a great festival at Easter time, have lost just three of their 14 matches with a draw with Nico Malan, Westville six of 16
Results against common opponents
Northwood: Kearsney beat them 49-6, Northwood 36-5
Hilton: Kearsney lost 13-6; Westville won 16-14

Those results are pretty even.
Craven Week representation for 2012
Kearsney: Sandile Khubeka, Jean-Luc du Preez, Daniel du Preez
Westville: Mzizi Zondi
That is a substantial advantage for Kearsney especially when one takes into account the mercurial brilliance of Sandile Khubeka and the bustling strength and energy of the Du Preez twins. They also have a great combination of clever inside backs in Matthew Reece-Edwards, Tristan Tedder, Tyler Smith and Sandile Kubheka. They certainly outwitted Maritzburg College last week.
This weekend at Kearsney is the Founders Weekend, a weekend for Old Boys, Parents and Grandparents, when classes get together going back to 1952. Last weekend when Kearsney went to College, it was College's Reunion Weekend, which may have made the occasion too big for the College boys. Is this likely to happen for Kearsney as well?
