CC: Great day in Potch
It was a wonderful day’s rugby at HTS Potchefstroom for the FNB Classic Clash between the Tech and Potchefstroom Boys High, which the latter won 26-14.
The prematch discussion had suggested that the bigger Boys High pack would be the dominant but in fact it was their backs who were decisive, especially the inside centre Gontse Shwabane who went to Craven Week for the Leopards last season.
The match was probably closer than the score suggests and would have been even closer of 12-points’ worth of kicks not been missed.
But then on this beautiful autumn day with some 5,000 spectators present all the matches were close and played in a good spirit.
