Classic duel in Meyerton
Home side Hoërskool Dr Malan will be out for revenge when they face Hoërskool Driehoek in their FNB Classic Clash in Meyerton.
Dr Malan were easily beaten by their rivals last year, so they will be looking for an improved performance on home turf, but it will not be easy for a team with only a handful of Matrics.
However, the Driehoek side is also relatively inexperienced and they will certainly have to work hard to back up their 28-10 victory at home last year.
Both sides have had a mixed bag of results so far this season, but with a few games under their belts now there will be no excuses come kick-off on Saturday.
Both captains play at outside centre, which sets up an interesting individual battle as they look to lead from the front and set an example for their respective teams.
Driehoek are renowned for their discipline and focus, which they will need in abundance if they are to travel to Dr Malan and claim victory.
Neither side have a lot of players that featured last year, so history is not likely to count for much and it is likely to be decided by the team that rises to the occasion.
