Classic expected in Durban North
It has been a while coming, but the sleeping giant that is Northwood School, is starting to awake from its slumber. With three consecutive wins against Jeppe, Parktown, and most recently Hilton, the Knights are certainly getting those of the KZN rugby fraternity to sit up and take notice.
With ex Northwood old boy Grant Bashford , heading up an experienced coaching team, the Northwood Knights are starting to gain the confidence, that may well see them run the Midlands giant Michaelhouse very close on the weekend.
House comes into the weekends clash with their tails up after good wins against Hilton and St Charles and will be looking to maintain their dominance over the Durban North outfit.
The game itself should provide an interesting clash of styles with the hard running, ball carrying forwards of Northwood, trying to outmuscle the more expansive Michaelhouse outfit. Whether you support the blue and white of the Knights or the red and white hoops of House, this one might well end up in a classic so it may well be worth your while to make the trip down to Durban North and the Reece Edwards field for some quality schoolboy rugby on Saturday.
