De Wet Botha - Captain of Ben Vorster
Ben Vorster have already beaten Pietersburg this year, but their captain De Wet Botha is adamant that their rivals will be an entirely different prospect in their FNB Classic Clash this weekend.
Although his team recorded a comfortable 35-16 victory over Pietersburg in their first encounter this season Botha knows that thingsd may not be as easy this time around.
"It will be a hard game, they know our gameplan now and they have been studying the video of the last time we played them so we are expecting a bigger challenge on Saturday," he explained.
The Ben Vorster skipper says that although his team's forward pack may not be the biggest around they do have plenty of pace to burn, and they will focus on using that to their advantage against Pietersburg.
"We will have to be accurate because they have some pretty big forwards, they have plenty of size in the midfield as well so first time tackling will be important if we are going to win again," he explained.
The big No.8 plans to study at CUT next year and believes that if he can break into the Varsity Shield team then he has a good chance of realising his dream of playing professional rugby, but for now he is focused on leading his young team to another victory.
"We only have about seven Matrics in our team but there is some great talent coming through and it will be up to me and the other senior players to lead by example," said Botha.
