Despatch's Sport Festival 2012
Despatch High School hosted a very successful Sports Festival over two days at the Despatch Central Sports fields.
The Eastern Province selectors who attended the festival were treated with rugby of outstanding calibre and were in a position to put ticks next to the name of several players.
Judged by the standards of play, Eastern Province should be able to send a very strong team to the Craven Week. Co-incidentally, the Craven Week is in Port Elizabeth this year.
The coaches from the various schools had the opportunity to prepare their teams for a tough season – and a tough season it will be! The teams are all very competitive.
The netball and hockey programmes were also a huge success. All the matches were tightly contested affairs with some very narrow victories recorded. The outstanding quality of the respective tournaments augurs well for the coming season.
