Die Brandwag too much for Muir

The College side tried to play catch-up with a 8-29 half-time score but Brandwag’s four tries in the second-half took the game beyond Muir’s reach.

The Muir side put the first points on the board when lock Felix Campbell pounced on a loose ball and ran 50m to dot down in the corner. Die Brandwag struck back with a try to level the scores. The College side forced a penalty and centre Neo Pepeta kicked it through the uprights. The Brandwag side made good use of their opportunities and ran in another 4 tries before the break.

The second half saw the Muir side attempt to close the gap but it was too little too late. The College side ran in three tries through wing Edward Mahood and centre Sicelo Tole (2). Pepeta successfully kicked one conversion. Die Brandwag replied with four tries of their own and just kept ahead of the Muir side.
