Dylan Krause - Captain of St Albans
After a sloppy start to the season St Albans have started to come right in the last few weeks, and their captain Dylan Krause is hoping to continue that trend when they take on Menlopark this weekend.
The hard-working lock was not impressed with his side's early form this year, but he has been encouraged by a few good results in recent weeks and expects them to play with confidence in their FNB Classic Clash on Saturday.
"We could have done better in our first few games, I think we battled to step up at the start of the season, but the guys have come to terms with what is expected of them now and we are playing better," he explained.
Krause leads a team packed with Matrics, but he says that the Grade 11s in the team have added something extra in key position like flyhalf and fullback.
Although his team will not start as favourites on Saturday the St Albans skipper believes that if they play with enough passion and commitment then they could well cause an upset.
"It will be important to back ourselves and have faith and trust in each other. If we get the team chemistry right and pull together properly then we have a good chance," he said.
Krause is well aware of the significant physical threat that Menlopark will present and he believes that if his side can front up well then their backline could cause some hassles out wide for their opponents.
"We will have to work hard up front, and if we can match them there then we will look to run the ball as we have some poretty exciting backline players," said Krause.
