Easter Festivals - 2008

It’s Easter time. The leaves are turning, many people are praying,. some are going on holiday and rugby breaks out around the country, but especially in Gauteng.

We give the details of some of these schools festivals but only those for 1st XVs, wonderful occasions generating much enthusiasm and growing annually in number.

The Saints Festival turns 25 this year. They have a powerful line-up of teams again.

Oakdale has a different format. It starts later and the matches for the subsequent two days depend on the results of the first day in order to ensure good match-ups.

Grey High of Port Elizabeth

This is their 14th festival.

It has a different format. This is the 23rd two-day festival they have had and they hold it in Holy Week – on Spy Wednesday and Maundy Thursday.
